Nestled near Liwan Lake, Panxi Restaurant is one of Guangzhou’s three major garden-style restaurants, which established in 1947. It is renowned for its traditional dim sum, authentic Cantonese cuisine, unique Lingnan-style garden architecture, and beautiful garden landscape. In 2006, it became a member of the Four Seas Group. The restaurant covers an area of ​​12,000 square metres. Its famous dishes include Golden Dragon Crispy Suckling Pig, Eight Treasure Winter Melon Soup, Panxi Five Delicacies, and Golden Roast Goose, as well as signature dim sum such as Green Rabbit Dumplings, Xishan Olive Longevity Turtle, Tangerine Peel Red Bean Chicken, and Panxi Water Chestnut Cake, which are highly favoured by local diners and tourists.

As early as the 1960s, Panxi Restaurant was already well known for its eight famous dishes and eight famous dim sum dishes, and many Chinese and foreign celebrities and dignitaries had been guests of Panxi Restaurant. The restaurant has won numerous awards in international culinary competitions and has won the titles of “China Time-Honoured Brand”, “National Platinum Five-Diamond Restaurant”, “Guangzhou Famous Trademark” and “China Famous Restaurant”. In February 2023, the restaurant was selected as one of the “7th Batch of China’s 20th-Century Architectural Heritage” projects; its “Pictographic Dim Sum” was rated as “Guangzhou Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage”.
