The “Four Seas Cup” Hong Kong International University Student WeiQi Competition, organised by the Hong Kong Greater Bay Area WeiQi Promotion Association and fully sponsored by the Four Seas Group, was held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 10 July to 12 July. Over 40 university students from 14 teams representing China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, as well as Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, and Macau gathered in Hong Kong to hone their skills and foster friendship through cultural exchange.

Mr. Tai Tak-fung, Chairman of the Four Seas Group and Honorary President of the Hong Kong Greater Bay Area WeiQi Promotion Association, stated in his address that the establishment of Hong Kong Greater Bay Area WeiQi Promotion Association, under the active promotion of President Xu Ying, is of great significance and will help promote Go cultural exchange in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He also noted that the Four Seas Group had previously sponsored the Shenzhen Go League and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Go Tournament, and this time it is also strongly supporting the “Four Seas Cup” Hong Kong International University Student WeiQi Competition, hoping to contribute to the popularization of Go and the promotion of Chinese culture.
