The 2nd “Four Seas Cup” Hong Kong International University Student WeiQi Competition, organised by the Hong Kong Greater Bay Area WeiQi Promotion Association and fully sponsored by the Four Seas Group, was held at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 11 July to 12 July. University students from 14 countries or regions, such as China, Hong Kong, Macau, Chinese Taipei, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Brunei, etc. gathered in Hong Kong to improve their skills and foster friendship through cultural exchange.

Mr. Tai Tak-fung, Chairman of the Four Seas Group and Honorary President of the Hong Kong Greater Bay Area WeiQi Promotion Association, pointed out that Go is one of the oldest board games in the world, representing profound Chinese culture. Young people who learn Go can not only develop their mental skills but also cultivate their character and good morals. Therefore, he was honoured that the Group could once again sponsor the “Four Seas Cup” Hong Kong International University Student WeiQi Competition this year, contributing to the popularization of Go.
