On November 8, 2021, the Four Seas Group held its 50th anniversary celebration party at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. The event was officiated by Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan and Ambassador Kenichi Okada, Consul General of Japan in Hong Kong. Hundreds of leaders from Hong Kong’s food, retail and banking industries witnessed the Group’s new milestone.
During the party, Dr. Tai Tak-fung, Chairman of the Four Seas Group, pointed out that since its establishment in 1971, the Four Seas Group has been focused on developing the food business and has now grown into one of the largest food companies in Hong Kong. Its brands have won numerous awards over the years, and it has also made important contributions to promoting the popularization of Japanese food.
Chairman Tai also stated that the Group’s successful acquisition of Miyata Co., Ltd., a renowned Japanese snack and confectionery distributor with a 90-year history, last year will help the Group actively expand into the Japan market and further broaden its overseas business footprint. “As we enter our 50th anniversary year, Four Seas Group will seize the enormous opportunities brought by the development of the domestic market, establishing a food and beverage platform spanning the Mainland, Hong Kong, and Japan, and consolidating the Group’s leading position in the industry.”
